Daily Harvest - Ready-to-Blend Smoothies Review & Promo Code

Use the code allroads for 3 free smoothies with your first order!

You've probably seen me post about Daily Harvest over on Instagram, but in case you haven't, I'll give you a little rundown. You get to choose from 14 delicious smoothie flavors over on their website. These flavors range from Pineapple + Matcha to Mint + Cacao (my personal favorite at the moment). Every flavor combo is just SO good! You pick your flavors, and Daily Harvest ships them right to your door.

You store the smoothies in your freezer until you're ready to use. When you want to make one you just add the liquid of your choosing (I generally go with unsweetened almond milk) and blend! You can also add any other ingredients you'd like i.e. protein powder, chia seeds, etc., but all you need besides the smoothie itself is the liquid of your choosing.

You fill the cup to the top with liquid, toss everything into the blender until fully blended, and enjoy! The cup even comes with a lid if you want to just put the smoothie right back in and head out the door.

I think it pretty much goes without saying, but I'm obsessed with these smoothies for a number of reasons:

  1. When you open the cup, you might expect to find powder or something that once resembled spinach, but what you really find it real, whole, and identifiable food. You can see exactly what you're about to eat which is so important. The whole idea is just very transparent. The ingredients are right there in large lettering on the package, and they're real and identifiable ingredients. There aren't any weird fillers or crazy long ingredients lists. And you can match what's on that ingredient list to exactly what you see inside the cup.
  2. Besides, the amazing (and mostly organic) ingredients, is the added benefit of convenience. They're really just so easy and quick to make. Add liquid, blend, and you're done! They're perfect if you're rushing out the door in the morning or a busy mom with her hands full. With Daily Harvest you don't have to sacrifice quality, taste, or time.
  3. I also love that they have different smoothies designed for different things. They have Apple + Greens for detox, Cold Brew + Almond as an energizer, and Watermelon + Cucumber as a hydrator. You can customize your order to fit exactly what you want and need at the moment. And to be honest, I've yet to taste a flavor that isn't delicious!

So would I recommend Daily Harvest? DUH! Go order them ASAP! But really, I highly suggest them. They're quick, easy, nutritious, and delicious. It really doesn't get better, you guys. Actually I lied, it does. Because you can use the code allroads for 3 FREE SMOOTHIES with your first order!

Taste of Whole Foods Market - Graduation Party

Another weekend means another Whole Foods Market event! This week's theme is graduation parties, and Whole Foods Market Princeton has some seriously delicious ideas! I had the chance to make the heirloom tomatoes with sherry vinaigrette and the shrimp and tortellini with olive bruschetta pasta salad. Both dishes have minimal ingredients and are super simple to throw together. Plus they're both SO tasty and perfect for a grad party or really any spring/summer party you have coming up! The tomatoes are so fresh and light, and the pasta salad really packs a flavor with only three simple ingredients.

You can get the full recipes for both of these dishes and all of the ingredients this Saturday 5/14/16 from 12-4 PM when you stop by Whole Foods Market Princeton. Plus you can taste test them yourself! Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Taste of Whole Foods Market - Easy Arugula Salad

I'm super excited to announce that throughout the month of May, I am working with Whole Foods Market Princeton during their Taste of Whole Foods Market event. I'll be giving you all a sneak peak each Thursday into a dish that they'll be featuring that week at their in-store event that Saturday. This week's theme is Mothers Day Brunch, and we are starting it off with an Easy Arugula salad that is sure to please the entire family.

This recipe includes some 365 EDV essentials plus other fresh Whole Foods ingredients. It only took about 10 minutes (or less) to put together, and it packs such a delicious flavor. It's so light and fresh to perfectly offset some of those heavier brunch plates you might find this Sunday.

Want to get this recipe and try the dish for yourself? Head over to Whole Foods Market Princeton this Saturday, May 7th, between 12-4 PM. You can taste this delicious salad for yourself and pick up this easy-to-make recipe and it's ingredients!

WrawPs - Gluten Free, Raw, Vegan Wraps

I was on a sandwich-making spree and dreaming about lunch one day when I literally thought to myself, "I wish that wraps were made out of veggies". I was so sick of either eating a ton of bread or tortillas or feeling too guilty about eating all of that bread to make another sandwich. I'm not anti-carbs by any means, but eating a lot of flour or corn products can really add up. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to make a wrap out of vegetables, but lucky for me I realized that I was following this company WrawP. That is a true story, not a very good one, but it's what happened. So of course, I needed them.

WrawPs are all natural, vegan, raw, paleo, gluten free wraps. They are made with mostly vegetables, fruits, seasonings, and other great, healthy ingredients like flax. They come in a number of different savory and sweet flavors from spicy to energizing morning to original. They are intended to replace carb filled flour and corn products. If you'd like more information about them, check out their website.

I tried one and have been hooked every since. So far I've used them for tacos, flatbreads/pizzas, burritos, wraps, and even in the place of a hotdog bun, and they've yet to disappoint. You can check out a couple of my recipes over on the recipes tab. They are really perfect for anything you'd use bread, wraps, tortillas, pizza crust, and even chips for.

So do they really taste good? Honestly, yes. I really enjoy them. They are a great component to all of the meals I've listed above. They add a nice flavor without being overwhelming. The consistency is a bit tougher than an average wrap, but that doesn't compromise the taste at all. There are even a few flavors that are more like fruit leather if you're hesitant about the vegetable, savory ones (I plan to fill one up with some greek yogurt, berries, and granola later this week)!

Who should buy WrawPs? I'd really say everyone. Do I think it's bad to eat bread or standard wraps? No, but I think it's great to have a healthy alternative that packs in a lot of nutrients, vegetables, and fruit. They're great for anybody, and they're definitely fun to play around with.

Let me know if you've tried WrawPs in the comments below and what you thought of them!
